Program Schedule
The MScISM program offers full-time and part-time modes to accommodate students with different time commitments. Full-time students complete the program in one year, whereas part-time students complete the program over two years. All enrolled students will attend in-person classes, delivered at the HKUST Clear Water Bay campus and other designated teaching venues.

Flexible Study & Career Exploration Option
To support deeper career exploration, MSc full-time students may choose to remain at HKUST for an additional half year during their second year. This option allows students to balance academic learning with practical and international experiences, while maintaining full student status.
How it works
- Students complete up to 28 credits in Year 1
- A minimum of 2 credits must be reserved for the Fall term of Year 2
- These credits can be fulfilled through approved experiential learning activities such as practicum, study tours, or other designated coursework

- Enables participation in internships, industry exposure, and global learning opportunities
- Supports a smoother transition from study to employment
Integrated Bachelor-Master 4+1 Pathway
Designed for HKUST undergraduate students, this pathway allows eligible students to take MSc(ISM) courses in their final year of undergraduate study and transition seamlessly into the MSc(ISM) program after graduation.
Admission Requirements
- CGA 3.3 or above at the time of submitting the application
- Minimum UG credits:
- HKUST BBA(IS) students Year 3 or above: completed at least 90 UG credits
- HKUST T&M-DDP students Year 4 or above: completed at least 128 UG credits
Will be admitted as MSc(ISM) Full-time students in next intake
